Facebook : Withdraws changes in TOS

A few days back Facebook made some changes to their TOS regarding the rights to own content uploaded on Facebook. By which Facebook owns the content uploaded by about 150 million users and do whatever they want. Which was hurting the feelings of Facebook users. And obviously people protested against it, and finally Facebook decided to withdraw changes made to TOS. Facebook homepage displays message about this.
"Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised. For more information, visit the Facebook Blog.
If you want to share your thoughts on what should be in the new terms, check out our group Facebook Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.

After planning to sell huge user data, Facebook now saying that "Whatever is yours is ours". According to Consumerist, Facebook's terms of services used to say that, quitting on Facebook network will result in any rights you claimed to the original content you uploaded would expire. But now it seems to be "not any more" because, Facebook's new TOS states so.

and also
"You may remove your User Content from the Site at any time. If you choose to remove your User Content, the license granted above will automatically expire, however you acknowledge that the Company may retain archived copies of your User Content."

Facebook selling your data to marketing companies

Telegraph says that one of largest social network "Facebook" planning to sell it's user data to marketing companies. Then Marketing companies will be able to ask questions to user according to their age, sex, relationships, interests, etc. and will allow multinational marketing companies to selectively target its members in order to research the appeal of new products, as market research tool.
Facebook holds huge user database about 150 million. Telegraph also says that Facebook has struggled to make money from advertising and been demonstrating the polling tool to some of the marketing leaders.
Experts says that "The huge user database Facebook holds and honest answers from users could worth millions to the research in marketing strategies". So the conclusion is all the Facebook users get ready to be spammed by these marketing companies.
