Bespin 0.1 : edit HTML in Firefox

Today Mozilla Labs launched an project called Bespin : a web-based code editor to increase developer productivity, enable compelling user experience, and promote the use of open standards. Bespin proposes an open extensible web-based framework for code editing.
Proposed features are
* Ease of Use — the editor experience should not be intimidating and should facilitate quickly getting straight into the code
* Real-time Collaboration — sharing live coding sessions with colleagues should be easy and collaboratively coding with one or more partners should Just Work
* Integrated Command-Line — tools like vi and Emacs have demonstrated the power of integrating command-lines into editors; Bespin needs one, too
* Extensible and Self-Hosted — the interface and capabilities of Bespin should be highly extensible and easily accessible to users through Ubiquity-like commands or via the plug-in API
* Wicked Fast — the editor is just a toy unless it stays smooth and responsive editing files of very large sizes
* Accessible from Anywhere — the code editor should work from anywhere, and from any device, using any modern standards-compliant browser
Bespin 0.1 includes support for basic editing features, such as syntax highlighting, large file sizes, undo/redo, previewing files in the browser, importing/exporting projects, etc.

Ubiquity : The command line of Firefox

Ubiquity  Firefox Addon : Mozilla Lab says, it's an experiment into connecting Web with Language. and i think it's great tool i have ever seen. It's like talking with Firefox in natural language.
It allows you to do complicated things , which requires lots of clicks and page loads with a single command.
For example for translating selected text from English to Chinese , select the text and press ALT+SPACE (it's shortcut for Ubiquity). Then write command "translate selected english to chinese" press enter and text will be translated to chinese.
Install Ubiquity.

snowl 0.2 : Feeds , Twitter and Web Surf simultaneously

Are you an Twitter addict? and is it preventing you from surfing web? Then this is for you. snowl 0,2 allows messaging and surfing web simultaneously. On 06 Aug 2008 Mozilla Labs introduced snowl. The main intention was to enable web browser help you follow and participate in online discussions.
Snowl is an experiment to answer that question. It’s a prototype Firefox extension that integrates messaging into the browser based on a few key ideas:
1. It doesn’t matter where messages originate. They’re alike, whether they come from traditional email servers, RSS/Atom feeds, web discussion forums, social networks, or other sources.
2. Some messages are more important than others, and the best interface for actively reading important messages is different from the best one for casually browsing unimportant ones.
3. A search-based interface for message retrieval is more powerful and easier to use than one that makes you organize your messages first to find them later.
4. Browser functionality for navigating web content, like tabs, bookmarks, and history, also works well for navigating messages. The initial prototype of snowl supports two sources of messages: RSS/Atom feeds (like Google Reader) and Twitter. Initially they provided two interfaces for reading them.
First, a traditional three-pane “list” view :

Second, a “river of news” view

Yesterday Mozilla Labs released snowl 0.2 with a new stream view for keeping track of messages in a sidebar while you do other things, the ability to send tweets, and support for multiple Twitter accounts.

Warning: Snowl is in an early development stage with many bugs, and subsequent versions may include changes that break functionality and delete all your messages, making you start over from scratch.

In private mode all visitor activities like pages visited , searches , etc data discarded after exiting private mode and these pages not kept in history also or no data kept on computer browser.

Chrome released in last couple of weeks included InCognito. Internet Explorer also included InPrivate in IE 8 Beta 2 release.Looks like private is becoming a standard feature of browser and browser war will become more interesting.

Private mode also known as porn mode.First implemented by Safari 2 , three years ago.But there will be more uses rather than porn.In private mode you don't have to worry about leaving private information on someones else's computer or on public computer. With private no need to clear all private data and all history.
