On March 28, 2009 about 1 billion people from all over the world will turn off their lights for one hour, from 20h00, for Earth Hour 2009 to VOTE EARTH, against Global Warming. Definitely they are not saving electricity.
Earth hour began in Sydney in 2007, with the support of 2.2 million homes and businesses by switching off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square also participated in this event and all stood in darkness.
In 2009 Vote Earth is next level of Earth Hour, holding election between Earth and Global Warming. You can Vote Earth by simply switching off your lights for one hour so it's your choice to whom you vote?.
